Opinion: I love this packaging so much because I am personally a big fan of minimalistic design styles. I think this packaging is a great example of an attractive simple design. The use of nature in the design also helps give off a calming vibe, making it more pleasing to the eyes. The complementary colors are very striking and I love the combination of the contrasting shades (mellow pink with earthy green). I also love the idea of how each flavor of the beverage has its own packaging, differentiating them from one another. According to the brand, the position of the sun and its colors indicates when it’s ideal for consumption (Matcha or the beverage with the pink-green packaging is meant to be drunk during sunrise). I like how this concept is very unique and creative. Overall, it is something I would buy as the packaging caught my attention.

Copy Strategy: With its brand new launch of premium oat milk lattes, LaDiDa aims to offer consumers a moment of serenity with every sip. The designs on the cans, which were influenced by the art style of Japanese manga comics that featured beautiful natural landscapes help achieve LaDiDa’s intended purpose as the landscape illuminated by the sun establishes a quiet, calming mood. The use of nature also reflects the natural ingredients the brand uses. I think minimalism is a great idea for the packaging as it helped make the packaging stand out, especially when there’s a sea of complicated, visually-noisy packaging designs in today’s shop aisles. This gives the brand a competitive edge due to the clean, sophisticated, and modern look it has to attract customers. As stated by the brand, the cans have a matte coating, which contributes to the calming vibe due to its ‘softened quality’.
