Opinion: This is a direct mail package used to promote a fast hair dye service at a salon. I personally really like die-cut windows because they remind me of my childhood birthday cards. I also think they give the design an extra ‘oomph’ by making it interactive. Though the design is fairly simple, I think the message was effectively delivered. I like the creative use of these two different colors to emphasize the message. This is definitely a direct mail package that will make me look into the contents, be aware of the business, and keep the package!

Copy Strategy: The direct mail package uses a die-cut window style where receivers are able to pull out the contents inside, making it interactive. It creatively expresses the business’s purpose and values by visually representing dyeing someone’s brown roots out of their blonde hair. The message was straight to the point and it demonstrates exactly what the customers can expect or are going to get. It not only makes it an overall fun package but it helps to further highlight the business’ service effectively.

Reimagined Copy
